5th Central European Diatom Meeting (5th CE-Diatom)

The 5th Central European Diatom Meeting and 25. Treffen Deutschsprachiger Diatomologen mit Internationaler Beteiligung organized by Prof. Andrzej Witkowski and the staff of Palaeoceanology Unit at the University of Szczecin will take place during the period of 24-27.03.2011 in Szczecin, Poland.

Title of conference is:

 Diatom taxonomy and ecology: from local discoveries to global impacts.

Dedicated to Professor Horst Lange-Bertalot on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

Dear Participants,

We would appreciate the form confirmation of your participation in 5th CEDM by 10 March 2011 at the latest.We need your confirmation because we are now in the proces of making financial commitments on behalf of the participants and we would not like to have to charge you in the care of "no show". And we are happy to inform you that the Book of Abstracts of 5th CEDM presentations is currently in press.

We wish to inform you that, for reasons beyond our control, the
conference excursion will have to be paid separately by the
participants. The cost is 20€, payable upon registration.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please provide (by email to Marcin Wroniecki) a confirmation of your student/PhD status in the form of a statment signed by your supervisor.
