The structure of the Faculty of Natural Sciences consists of the Institute of Physical Education and 14 biological units (Chairs). The faculty is seated in 3 buildings located in the center of Szczecin. During classes, the students make use of all devices and apparatus necessary to complete the requirements of the curriculum and allowing them to acquire the specified knowledge and practical skills. Traditional lectures and seminars constitute the main form of theoretical classes, whereas practical skills are mainly acquired during laboratory classes, specialist workshops and field trips as well as internships. The faculty collaborates with various partners from Europe, the USA and South Africa. This cooperation results from bilateral agreements and from joint research work, and is manifested in visits paid by the faculty’s staff to other universities and by foreign scholars to the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Thanks to programs such as MOST, Erasmus and Erasmus Mundus, students can take part in international student exchange which involves 24 partner universities, e.g. University of Bari (Italy), University of Antwerp (Belgium), University of Lyon (France), University in Košice (Slovakia), Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris (France). Lectures are delivered mainly in Polish and, in the case of some study programs or courses, in foreign languages. Study areas: 1. Biology 2. Biotechnology 3. Environment Protection 4.
