The faculty (two professors and two senior lecturers) pursues research on modern philosophy, especially English and German. They concentrate on epistemological, axiological and metaphysical issues.
The Section co-organized in August 2002 (all together with the Institute of Philosophy in Greifswald) IVth International Summer School of Philosophy, the main theme of this venture was "Ethics and politics in philosophical and theoretical meaning", lecturers and students from Baltic countries took part in this event.
